Digital Citizenship Course Overview

This video provides an overview of a course I created in Canvas LMS. It is a self-paced learning course for 3rd grade students stepping them through the foundational skills of Digital Citizenship as outlined by our Texas state standards (TA TEKS). It uses a variety of engaging interactive elements as well as meets all ADA accessibility standards.

Tools used: Outline - MS Word; Storyboard - Google Slides; Canvas LMS, Google Drawings, Flaticon and Freepik.com

Canvas: Introduction to Mimio

Mimio is a device that converts a typical whiteboard into an interactive technology tool. This Canvas training is the first of three self-paced online learning opportunities for teachers to become comfortable with the Mimio. The course utilizes badging which allows for users and administrators to view progress in a course as well as where the participant is in the overall pathway training. This version of the course is housed in my public Canvas account and requires a free account in order to view the instructional modules.

Tools used: Outline - MS Word; Storyboard - Google Slides; LMS - Canvas; LTI Tool - Badgr.us, Google Drive

6 Steps Toward an Engaging Presentation

This video is an export from a Storyline 360 project that was adapted from a Canvas course utilizing embedded Google Slides for storytelling animation, interactive assignments, and discussion boards for student participation. I wanted to show that I can use Storyline for eLearning development since Conroe ISD does not use this eLearning development tool (though I wish we did!).

Tools used: Outline - MS Word; Storyboard - Google Slides; Adobe Illustrator; Storyline 360; Adobe Premiere Pro
